A kind of high-purity refractory raw material formed by high-purity alumina and reducing agent after being melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature of more than 2300℃ according to a certain ratio.
The main crystal phase is α-Al2O3, the color is light gray, has a high melting point, a relatively high bulk density and very low porosity, and has excellent wear resistance, slag resistance, volume stability at high temperature, it’s the best refractory materials in the corundum series of refractory materials.
The fused dense corundum is one of the first-choice raw materials for the production of high-performance unshaped and shaped refractory materials, and is widely used in industries such as steel, cement, ceramics, petrochemicals, etc. It is an ideal raw material for making blast furnace iron trough castables, ladle castables, ramming materials, preforms and other unshaped refractory materials, as well as three continuous casting pieces, ventilating bricks, nozzle block bricks and other shaped products. It is also an excellent material for making steel-making long nozzles, skateboards and various corundum bricks.
